food/exercise log for Bastille day, 7/14

Today was way better.  Of course it is hard to find portable, healthy snacks at CVS when one hasn’t been to the store and is running VERY late. (and the fruit vendor fruit looked like it came from a third world country on a slow, slow boat)

I had to go to city hall today so I walked over after work instead of taking the T.   I also had the very last space available on the street so I had to walk a good distance to my car and back today.  I wanted to go to the gym but by the time I got home my head was killing and still is.  Maybe I will get the weights out of my car for later.

I’m also still a little low on the water.  I think I have only had about 60 oz so far today.  It’s hard to drink a lot at work where I only get one break….. I need to do better once I get home.

I also hope I can make it through the night without snacking.  I don’t have much in the way of food left so, if I do end up snacking it will be a bowl of cereal.

Awesome job on the food log! You're determined, and I like it!
I don't mean to harp or make you feel bad, but be REALLY careful about estimating how many calories are in food from fast food places. You guessed that the oven roasted turkey sandwich from Quiznos is 400 calories, but according to their website a regular sized one is 910 calories (with cheese and dressing). A small has 520. And Fat Free dressing is good, but usually still full of calories to compensate for the reduced fat (though it depends on the brand).
I was really shocked when I started really investigating fast food joints. There are options at all of them (Even McDonald's!) for a healthy lunch. Subway's still my favourite (6 inch turkey on whole wheat, no cheese, light mayo is about 300, which is amazing) but I sometimes spring for an Angus Burger at McDonald's (600 calories with no cheese or bacon, plus I go light on the mayo) with no fries, of course! Very filling!
We have the new Southwestern Ranch Baked Lays here that are EXCELLENT! LOL! I love me some Baked Lays!

The website I had the sub calculated at 400 and that was with ranch and bacon. This just shows there needs to be more accuracy in reporting what we are actually getting as consumers. Ugh. I didn't think that the small amount of turkey, 1 slice of cheese, and literal splash of dressing I couldn't even taste would be more than that. Unless they are cooking their bread with lard or something LOL
I wanted Subway but there was no Subway downtown, but like 3 Quiznos and of course McDonalds or Wendys.
