Half marathon training W3 R1

Today was probably the best day weather wise for a run according to the forecast for this week.  Hopefully the forecast will improve!

The Basics:

Run designation: easy

Distance: 4.5 miles

Goal pace: 11 minutes per mile

Actual pace: 11’27” on average

Weather: mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks, windy

How did the run go?

I think if my hamstrings and glutes weren’t so sore from weight training on Sunday, I might have been a bit faster.   My second mile was ace, at 10’13”.  However, as I turned around at 2.25 miles, I was, once again, running into the wind.  Perhaps one day I will be able to go out when the winds are calm!  Overall, the run was ok and I felt pretty decent despite my legs aching.
