Half marathon training Week 5 Run 3

This week really hasn’t been my week.  I’ve just had a few mediocre runs and I’ve been very tired.  I know I planned to blog every workout, but it feels like I’m just writing this to myself most of the time.  I’ve not had a comment posted since I posted about my viva.  Not to say that people aren’t reading.  I’m sure there are some people who are.  It’s just nice to get a comment every now and again, and well, my viva was in December so. . . .

The basics: 

Run designation: steady

Distance: 4.5 miles

Intended pace: 10-10:30 min/mile

Actual pace: not even close at 11’09” on average.

How did the run go?

When I went out on Thursday, I knew I’d never hit the intended pace, so I just went out and ran the distance.  It wasn’t as warm or humid as it had been on Wednesday, thankfully.  It was a bit breezy still and I found it a bit difficult to run as I returned back, running into the wind.  I’m just glad I was able to get the mileage in.
